lyf Georgetown Penang by The Ascott Limited

I came to Penang for a week to catch the Georgetown Festival and I couldn’t have stayed at a better hotel. The location was superb (stone’s throw away from all the performing venues and lots of food), close to the sea, and the price was very reasonable. The staff made the experience very special — everyone from reception to janitors to security was friendly and warm. They even helped me with the laundromat. I have stayed in two other lyf hotels before but I found this Penang one to be the most conducive with a most thoughtful design, excellent for work, rest and play. I had never seen a pool inside a lyf hotel before! Even though the gym and pool are small, there were hardly any users whenever I used them, so it was very comfortable. I will definitely be back. I thank the lyf staff for a lovely week!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the peaceful atmosphere, which made for a very restful stay. The location was perfect close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. Breakfast had a great variety of choices, and everything was fresh and tasty.

Best comfy hotel! I would definitely stay here again if I visit Penang. I mean, who would doubt the service and facilities provided by Ascott? But beyond that, this hotel is aesthetic, in a strategic location, clean, and staffed with friendly people. What makes it stand out are some unique, unexpected facilities you don’t always find in other hotels, like a shared kitchen and fridge, plus a sink, microwave, and water dispenser on each floor. It feels like a semi‑apartment. The bathroom is also well‑equipped with branded soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Right around the corner, you'll find cafés and local food. What I love most are the little hidden quotes or witty room titles placed in corners and on the walls. They just fit so well! I’ve stayed at different Lyf hotels before, and the quotes or titles are always different at each location. Thanks, Lyf, for such a great place to experience temporary Lyfing!
