Lympstone Manor Hotel Restaurant & Vineyard Relais & Chateaux

We loved every minute of the experience. Sitting outside on the lawn drinking the delicious aperitifs and canapés, looking out over the fantastic view of the grounds and the river couldn't be better. The attention to detail by all of the staff was superb and the various courses were a constant treat to our taste buds. Sadly, the price means we would only be able to return for extra special occasions.

An amazing hotel. Everything about it is right. The location overlooking the estuary is splendid. The building is lovely, but updated to the highest standards. The gardens are lovely and the rooms are super comfortable. We ate at the pool house complex for dinner. The pool house is a modern complex that is very well designed and very well positioned. Sitting by the huge windows, basking in the late evening sun, looking out over the estuary was a sublime experience. I particularly enjoyed the sushi and sashimi which was very good. The burger was a very good take on the ubiquitous classic. The pool house restaurant is an alternative to the well rated tasting menu in the main house. We decided we wanted something slightly less grand. The pool house food was well thought out and very well executed. It is very special drinking wines from the vineyard whilst looking out over it in the UK. The sparkling was particularly nice. I also enjoyed the rose but that was more unusual. The hotel is very well staffed and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. A particular thanks to Josh who looked after us in the restaurant. I feel the service balance was about right, avoiding the problem of over attentive staff that is often an issue. The bed room was very comfortable. The reception phoned us before we came asking for our preferences, which was a lovely touch. They managed to find some super slim pillows for us. That added the finishing touches to the super comfortable bed. We had a large balcony looking over the sea and could enjoy an early evening drink with the complimentary gin and tonic. The breakfast was very well executed and avoided the over sized buffet. I particularly enjoyed the Loch Fyne kipper. A real treat these days. I could go on. The tennis court looked great. The pool was lovely and quite warm. There were bicycles. We will be back. This is the best hotel we have found in the UK. A big thank you to the team who made our stay so special.

I stayed at the Lympstone Manor on Monday evening (14th July 2025) on business. I was blown away with the quality of the rooms and more importantly, the level of service. My needs were catered for and my requests were fulfilled in the most professional way. The breakfast was superb, the best tasting coffee, croissants and fruits I have ever had. Mix these with stunning views of the compound and the sea. The quality in all aspects does justify the high price, great value for money. Excellent service, coupled with excellent quality food and accommodation will attract great quality guests! If you are visiting Exmouth, staying at this hotel is a must or at least to try its Michelin star restaurants. You will not regret it. Bring your family as well. Hasan
