Lynnfield Hotel Kirkwall

Have you ever wanted to see what a truly luxurious hotel was like, and still go somewhere interesting like the Orkney islands? Well if you are curious, this is the place for you! The rooms are fitted out with wonderful antique fittings, the ensuite bathrooms are wonderfully modern, and the in-house catering is simply the best I have ever tasted. The hotel is quiet and guarantees wonderful sleep (4-poster beds even), breakfasts of sheer wonderment and the hotel is very handy for the centre of Kirkwall. There's free parking at the hotel, free WiFi in the hotel (decent speeds too, not the normal weak signal and dire speeds) and all of this is dog-friendly too. I cannot sing the virtues of this hotel eloquently enough. Come here and eat in, you will not be disappointed!

Excellent hotel with extremely friendly staff. Malcolm is a great host. The food was top class. I am a ceoliac and that was no problem. Our dog was allowed into the bar area and the lounge which was great. We were given a goodie bag for him on arrival and a list of dog friendly walks over the whole area. Thoroughly recommend 👌

We enjoyed our stay. Most comfortable beds of our trip in Scotland! Large spacious room. Wonderful showers. Breakfast was very good. I am glad we based ourselves at Lynnfield while exploring the Orkneys! I enjoyed the view from the hotel. The owner Mr Stout has a long family history from the Orkneys and is very proud of his heritage. Thank you again for everything during our stay.
