Absolutely loved my stay at Lyttos Beach Resort! 🌴 The rooms are spacious and spotless, food is delicious with so much variety, and the pools and private beach are simply amazing. Perfect mix of relaxation and fun – from water slides to evening shows. The staff are warm, friendly, and make you feel at home. Truly a little paradise in Crete – can’t wait to come back! 🌊✨
We stayed at Lyttos Beach Hotel as a family of four adults and one infant for 7 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was superb, with a wide variety of options available at every meal. There are three main restaurants to choose from, plus one special restaurant available once per stay (one another was closed during our visit). The hotel offers several bars that serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day. The complex also features a water park, a kids' playground, and a club for small children — perfect for families. The beach is right at the hotel and is well equipped with plenty of deckchairs and sun umbrellas. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. From the animation team and chefs to the front desk staff, everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help. We had an issue with our original room (1208), and the staff handled it with great care. We were first offered a villa at no extra cost, but declined as it was too far from the main facilities given we were traveling with a small child. Instead, we were given a different room and a fair compensation. A special thanks to Michalis from the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout our stay — and even welcomed us back almost like old friends when we unexpectedly returned due to a canceled flight caused by bad weather. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for comfort, fun, and outstanding service.
The hotel for families is amazing. There is so much to do. Plenty of pools throughout the hotel (which keeps things relatively quiet and prevents overcrowding in any one pool), a game room (for an extra charge) where you can easily spend an hour having fun, a variety of slides for both older and younger kids, lots of daily activities (archery, water polo, water volleyball, beach volleyball, and more), a nearby beach with water activities (for an extra charge), and evening shows and bingo. The amount of attractions is truly incredible. We stayed for five nights and didn’t get bored for a second. Rooms: This is clearly the hotel’s weak spot. We stayed at Lyttos Beach, which is right next to Lyttos Mare – a newer hotel that shares the same attractions but has higher-quality rooms. At Lyttos Beach, the rooms are relatively basic. We stayed in a room classified as a “family room,” but it was very small, with a very small bathtub and weak water pressure. On the plus side, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the beds were decent. However, if the room quality is important to you, I recommend staying at Lyttos Mare. Food: The hotel has a variety of restaurants, all of which offer very similar menus. The food is very tasty and there’s a huge selection – pizzas, meats, sushi, pasta, and more – plus a wide range of desserts. Food is available even into the evening (around 7 p.m.) at the snack bar near the slides, serving burgers, pizzas, hot dogs, and more. There’s also a good selection of alcoholic drinks. Air Conditioning: Air conditioning is almost nonexistent in the hotel’s common areas – hallways, lobby, game room, and dining rooms. You can feel it, but it’s not unbearable. There are fans and usually decent airflow with low humidity, but the heat is still noticeable. Attractions: As I mentioned earlier, this is the hotel’s biggest advantage. We had a great time and everything was well-organized. Spa & Gym: The treatments at the spa were good but very expensive. It’s not a large spa – there’s no hammam, no variety of saunas – just treatment rooms. Gym: Quite good, with modern equipment – but no air conditioning. In summary: If you’re looking for a hotel for kids (of all ages) where there’s always something to do – this is the hotel for you. If the quality of the rooms is important to you, check out the nearby Lyttos Mare hotel. Guests there can also enter Lyttos Beach, and it’s just a 30-second walk away.
