LYX Suites at Merrick Park in Coral Gables

Love this hotel! There is something special about this place. It has history, it’s not your typical hotel. The pool is wow, by far the nicest pool in south Florida. Golf course to dream for. You even have tea time with a someone playing the harp. The only I put 4 stars on the rooms is because if you want to stay a week you should get a suite, the rooms are not too spacious. The spa and massages are top notch. We go regularly to Biltmore and it’s always great.

Our week at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables felt like stepping into a dream. The stunning Mediterranean architecture, with its arched windows, red-tiled roofs, and palm-lined gardens, gave the whole place a European charm that instantly set the tone for a special family getaway. From check-in to checkout, the service was outstanding. Every staff member was warm, helpful, and professional, true five-star hospitality. Our room was spacious and elegant, with high ceilings, classic décor, and a bathroom that felt like a personal spa retreat. The pool, massive and one of the biggest hotel pools in the U.S.—surrounded by palm trees—was the heart of our stay. We spent hours swimming, lounging, and enjoying drinks by the water. We also loved the little shops tucked away on the lower level for souvenirs and snacks. The gym was another pleasant surprise, very well equipped, clean, and perfect for keeping up with workouts during the trip. The Biltmore blends historic beauty with modern comfort in a way that’s rare. It was more than just a vacation, it was a memorable experience we’ll always treasure. Such a beautiful landmark hotel. Vintage luxury feel. The staff is outrageously kind and attentive. The hotel has a gorgeous backdrop on it's patios and outdoor spaces. The lunch on the patio was my favorite part. Meeting rooms and amenities are grand.
