Had an amazing spa day here yesterday. The facilities are great (although a hot tub outside would be a nice addition) I had a massage from Charlotte W which was brilliant, I have had back pain for two weeks and today its gone and I feel so much less tension in my shoulders. The afternoon tea was lovely and the perfect size. The staff throughout the whole venue were brilliant, attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back again.
We stayed for a night with spa dinner bed and breakfast, we had a great experience. The spa was lovely and chilled. We both had a back massage and facial which was very relaxing, even if I spent the whole hour chatting to the lovely lady. For dinner we had starter and main. The black pudding Scottish egg was literally the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Breakfast was very well set up. Lots to choose from. Ok the hotel rooms are a little dated but very comfy beds and everything was spotless. We couldn’t fault it from start to finish and will absolutely be booking again.
My wife booked a spa stay and after looking at the reviews, I was concerned. There was no need to worry. The service at every part of our stay has been excellent. All the staff have been attentive and professional, and made our stay a relaxing and enjoyable one. Tiegen booked us in and was really friendly. We upgraded our room, which was spacious, had all the amenities you’d need and was spotlessly clean. We then spent a few hours in the spa and I had a brilliant back massage with Lydia. There are complimentary robes, slippers and lockers with treatments. The aroma and stone saunas are great and there is also an ice chip bowl, hot and cold mist showers and a pool, which is a bit on the cool side. Food was excellent in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, with great quality ingredients and service. Charlotte was our host for both meals and her colleague at dinner helped us navigate the menu for the best fit. The dishes are more expensive than other restaurants in this area, but were excellent. A great stay that will be repeated soon.
