We went to attend our cousins wedding. This place is very nice. Decor was excellent. I really liked the area next to reception. Nice and relaxing. Had a look at all their whiskeys. Very good selection. Looked online at their rooms and they were equally very nice.
The dining experience was truly exceptional, featuring a delightful array of dishes that highlighted the rich flavors of traditional Scottish cuisine. Each plate was meticulously prepared, showcasing locally sourced ingredients that offered a genuine taste of Scotland. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable and eager to ensure a memorable meal. Additionally, the impressive selection of Scotch whisky was a standout, offering a variety of fine options for connoisseurs and newcomers alike. Overall, it was a remarkable establishment that artfully combined high-quality food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
On arrival there is a very good sized parking area. Check in was easy and reception was nice and clean. There is a nice seating area to the right of the reception with some halls that can be hired out. Also the restaurant is tucked around the corner from the lift. My bedroom was a really good size with plenty of space. The bed was also very comfortable. You have a good sized bathroom which has a shower and bath which is great. You also get an iron and iron board in your room, tea and coffee but you don't get complimentary biscuits like most hotels with your refreshments. At dinner time I went with the fish and chips but for £27 I was very underwhelmed. A bit of fish about 8 chips and a small bowl of mashed peas to me was not worth the money. They have a good range of whisky to choose from The staff were first class and cannot fault anyone.
