What a fab weekend, a bit out of the way but the scenery and location more than makes up for the drive. We had an apartment in red Maple. 2 bed 3 bath rooms, one ensuite. 1 with a sauna. Nice product in the bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, very clean. Large lounge with large veranda and sliding doors. Staff were super nice. Great adventure water school at bottom of the hotel drive. Very friendly. Altogether a lovely break , very relaxing.

Loch ness service in a beautiful location. Honestly our terrible experience at this resort has already turned into family lore. It included no room for us to dine or relax, a wedding that took up all public areas and was very noise, no staff to serve us much of anything, and when we did finally get served breakfast on our last morning the food was photo worthy atrocious! (See photos.) Plus there was a super storm, a power outage, furniture flying around and the staff decided to just give up on all forms of service. The guests were so shocked over the way we were treated that we became friends at a local bar!

Stunning location, terrible service. We stayed here expecting a wonderful experience given the beautiful grounds and premium price, but the service was shockingly bad. The staff served us rotten avocado toast and seemed completely unbothered. Despite having a dinner reservation, they refused to seat us, claiming they were “too busy” because of a wedding yet made no attempt to resolve it. Basic requests were met with blank stares; staff didn’t know the menu and wouldn’t even clear tables in the bar area, which sat dirty for hours. They abruptly closed the gym early after a short power outage, with no updates or alternatives. Worst of all, they closed the lunch restaurant early because a wedding took over the lobby and dining hall—something they never disclosed at check-in. At no point did anyone offer an apology or personal service. In fact, most of the staff acted visibly annoyed by the presence of guests. To be fair, the rooms were nicely designed and the property itself is breathtaking—but housekeeping was lazy and inconsistent. This could be a four-star hotel if the team cared about its guests. Sadly, it felt like they just wanted us gone. Extremely disappointing.
