Had the best time here! Such a beautiful area, hotel lovely and clean. Beds were so comfy and rooms very spacious. The food was great and staff have been amazing. Had a lovely experience in the spa, back massage was great. Would definitely stay here again

Our recent anniversary stay at Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel was nothing less than sublime. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of classic elegance and genuine warmth. The hotel itself is truly beautiful. Stepping into the grand hall, the sweeping staircase immediately evokes the refined charm of Downton Abbey, setting the tone for a luxurious experience. Beyond the impressive interiors, the grounds are equally stunning and exceptionally well-kept, offering picturesque views and serene spaces for a leisurely stroll. Our accommodation, the Linden Suite, was beautiful. The bed was, without a doubt, the biggest and comfiest I have ever slept in, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep. The suite was immaculately clean and boasted a beautiful view over the front lawn, adding to the sense of tranquility. We had dinner two nights in a row at the Linden Tree pub, and on both occasions, the food was exceptional. It was clear that first-class ingredients were used, resulting in dishes that were both delicious and memorable. The chicken dish from the main courses will truly stay with me for years to come – it was one of the nicest meals I have ever tasted. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the staff. Despite incredibly hot and uncomfortable weather, they never once succumbed to it. Every single person, from the welcoming lady on reception to the two supervisor ladies efficiently running the Linden Tree and everyone in between, was a delight and nothing short of an exceptional example of a hospitality professional. Their unwavering cheerfulness and attentiveness made our anniversary even more special. Thank you for making our anniversary stay so memorable. We genuinely look forward to returning to Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel as soon as possible!

Nice location. Room was lovely and clean but walls are paper thin. Spa experience was lovely and plenty of seats around the pool although it could do with being repainted. Dinner at the linden tree pub was dreadful so would advise avoiding that. Nice cooked breakfast but I don’t think we’ll stay here again.
