Macquarie Manor

We had a wonderful stay at The Macquarie Hobart. The hotel has a lovely old-world charm, so if you’re into character-filled places with a bit of history, this one’s for you. As expected with older buildings, not everything is flawless, but that’s part of the charm. The beds were really comfortable, and the bathroom felt clean and recently updated. The staff at this place were also so great — they were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They really made us feel at home. Despite being located just off a busy street, the place was incredibly quiet—we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Overall, it was a peaceful, charming stay and excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! This place is managed by such a lovely young woman, upon early arrival I was going to ask if I could stash my bags somewhere until check in, Sarah then checked to see if my room was ready, it was, so she let me check in early, not only that she had up graded me from the budget into a big beautiful room. The room was very comfortable and clean! Good location to do all the sight seeing and close to the public transport. I would highly recommend staying here. 😁😁

I only stayed one night, but it was fantastic! The hotel is beautifully decorated—both cozy and elegant—and made for a very comfortable stay. My room had everything I needed, and the shower was perfectly warm and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The only downside is that parking on the property costs an extra $25. However, if you're lucky, you might find free street parking at night—just be sure to move your car or pay by 8:30 AM. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again!
