A very good hotel on the first line. Near the municipal beach. Excellent breakfasts. very friendly staff. just a fantastic view of the ocean from the room. Limited number of parking spaces. There is a public transport stop, a shopping center and car rental offices nearby. The price-to-supply ratio is excellent.
Ok but a very tired looking hotel needs an upgrade, The location was brilliant and everything was easy to get to by bus or taxi or take a walk to the local supermarket. There is a Lido below the hotel which is very noisy but it didn't bother us and there are no beaches near by Had 4 very small bottles of water out of the mini bar €17 !!!
Don't go here if you like to enjoy yourself, we were reported for laughing at 1600, laughing too loud on the balcony allegedly, coward could not knock on my door, phoned reception, as I say, coward, then my wife received a call from the rep,who should have waited till the meal service had ended instead of disturbing my wife during her meal, saying if it happened again the police would be involved, never heard such nonsense, you cant laugh on holiday in the afternoon????. This hotel should be advertised as Seniors only, not adult only, never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel in my life, basically the whole place shut down at 21/2200, then you have to walk around with cotton wool on your feet and a mouth gag in case you upset the "seniors". These allegations were not investigated and were taken on the word of a coward. I would have liked to face my accuser, but thought it prudent not to push it, as accuser couldn't even knock on my door. This was our 1st visit to Madeira and our last, very bad experience
