We had the most lovely stay at Madsen retreat while we were in Penguin for work with our dog. Ting was the most thoughtful and kind host, went out of her way many times to make sure we had a great stay. Let us change rooms when it was convenient for us even though it was more work for her. We will definitely be back! The rooms are beautiful and clean with great wifi. Perfect location in town with a great view. Thank you Ting !!!!
Not a fan. My husband liked the host and he left a very positive review on Expedia (we stayed in Feb 2024) but I personally didn’t feel welcomed. I had never stayed at bed and breakfast style accommodation before but now I make sure to only book hotels because of this.
The host accused me of smoking when I’ve never smoked most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had considering I arrived rather late and left early every morning! So much for a great enjoyable birthday getaway thank Ting for your unwelcome hospitality. The accommodation should also state that it’s not accessible for people who have mobility impairments
