Maggiano Boutique Hotel

Our stay at the "Maggiano" in Peschici was one of the best experiences of our vacation in Apulia this year. The Maggiano family — Giovanni and Donatella, along with their adult sons Nicholas and Matteo have created with a unique vision and great taste a little paradise within the paradise. Their new, stylish Boutique Hotel "Maggiano" at the port, is located just about 100 meters from the sandy beach. It's a unique place that looks like a ship with portholes and decks, featuring a beautiful "Margarita Rooftop Bar", offering great live music, a cool, illuminated pool area, and stunning hotel rooms you'd normally get to see only in architecture magazines. The Maggiano family combined their great taste with their sense for harmony and beauty, as well as their fantastic energy, and put it all into this jewel for the visitors to enjoy. Perfection everywhere you look. Beyond the amazing accommodations, guests benefit from the infinite dedication of Nicholas, the son in charge of the hotel, who goes all out to make visitors happy. You'll meet him first thing in the morning at breakfast and late into the night at the rooftop bar — always working. There’s no wish he wouldn't try to fulfill, nor a problem he wouldn't help solve. With the "Maggiano" a new attraction in Peschici has been created, once you've checked in, you feel like you're in a little paradise that you don't want to leave again.

It was nice to find out that since my last visit to Peschici about 8 years ago, this beautiful ship-like Maggiano hotel opened its doors just a year ago. The rooms are like cabins on this ship, and they are very modern. Plenty of electric sockets, with USB and USB-C, the aircon works perfectly well, cooling the room down to 18C at night without making any sound. The breakfast was varied, with lots of fruits, and the service was great as well. Nicolas and the team really take care of their guests and the hotel!

The hotel is located very close to the beach, and rooms are modern, nice and spacious as the structure of the hotel. However, our room was located on the ground floor with no view and on a rather noisy street. The jacuzzi and AC could not hide the noise from passing cars, trucks etc. The breakfast is good as long as you eat early when fruit, bread, youghurt are available. After 9h00 there is not much left and were not filled up again. The service is personal, but spotty, as we often did not receive the coffee nor freshly squeezed orange juice ordered. For younger people, I am sure the hotel and location are great. But, we were not impressed compared to other 4 star hotels in Italy.
