Magnolia Hotel Omaha

Olive & Ira’s is delightful! The menu is perfectly sized and everything looked so good. The waiter Sam recommended the bread pudding for dessert and it was the best we’ve ever had. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very kind to us. He has a great personality and super easy to get along with. We had a great experience here!!

The room was lovely, daily service would have been appreciated. Also a few plates and utensils in the kitchenette would have been helpful. The steak abs cocktails at the restaurant were delicious. A special shoutout to our waiter Sam - he turned a good meal into a lovely experience.

I’ve stayed here before years ago and really enjoyed it, but when I stayed here twice in the last week I was sad to see the hotel room conditions have gone downhill. Both rooms I stayed in feel tired and have visible damage. The cleaning also didn’t seem to have good attention to detail as I saw numerous areas that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The second room I stayed in even had a large rip in the curtain. This type of thing is blatant damage that should be repaired promptly, it just looks so bad. I can’t remember what the toiletries were like last time but I was not impressed with them this time around. The hand soap was a thin, cheap, disc, and the lotion was literally a packet of cheap lotion. I didn’t even use it, it seemed so low quality I can’t imagine it was good lotion. The location is great and the building has good bones but the price is too high for how run down they’ve let the rooms get. I don’t think I’ll stay here again unless I know they’ve made some changes.
