First of all I’d like to stay I didn’t stay at the hotel. I wanted to have breakfast and use beach/pool for the day but ended up leaving after breakfast. This is NOT a luxury hotel. It’s an okay 3 star hotel with wanna-be bohemian vibes and a nice Instagram. Staff is sweet and facilities are clean but cheao materials and interior, cheap workmanship, and just in general går from luxury

There is nothing luxury about this hotel. We reached out about shuttle pickup at airport, they agreed and confirmed via email. We get to the airport no car in site. We called the hotel they told us there was a mix up and could not get us. So now we are stranded at the airport and hour 1/2 away in a place where taxis charge 3x the amount. We end up paying for a taxi and arrive at the hotel and the hotel manager has the balls to tell us that they don’t offer airport services as an offering and they were just trying to help us out. It literally states on their website as an amenity. The hotel manager Enver was so rude!! He then proceeded to put us in a room where the A/C did not work. The hotel rooms were nice but the shower and sink did not drain well. Also, they advised as they are a “spa” hotel. They have no spa it has been under construction for the last 2 years. Where the spa should be is all of the laundry, sheets everywhere. Do not be fooled by the pictures online.

Apologies in advance for the lengthy review, but based on our experience in late August 2024, I felt compelled to write a detailed review. The TL;DR: My wife and I stayed at Maia hotel from August 28 to September 2, 2024. Maia Luxury Beach Hotel & Spa is neither Luxury, a spa, nor do they have a real beach. This hotel has the potential to be a 5-star hotel, but sadly operates at a 2-star level. The hotel is in need of many repairs to bring it up to a basic functioning level. On top of that, the leadership is disrespectful / dismissive towards hotel guests and appear to lack basic hotel management / customer service skills. We will definitely never stay at this hotel again and caution anyone who is considering staying here, as you will most likely be sorely disappointed. For my detailed review, I will start with "the good" and follow with "the bad": The good: The view from every single room is fantastic. The food was decent. Both lunch and dinner (included for us) was served buffet style. Their Turkish breakfast was great every morning. We only ate dinner there one out of four nights as we had other obligations but the one time we did, it was good. The outdoor pool and lawn were nice. Maia is just a short walk to the Mili national park. Zeus cave is a must see / must swim experience! Non leadership staff was great. Most of the staff (except leadership such as Enver Beyazyuz) were great. No real complaints. The bad: We arranged for Maia's airport transfer service, a service listed on their website as a paid amenity and confirmed via email with Enver Beyazyuz (hotel marketing director). Maia forgot to pick us up at the airport upon our arrival at night (20:15) and we were forced to hail a taxi for a 1.5 hour ride (in a country known for taxi scams). The driver drove dangerously fast and had us on edge the entire ride. My wife actually burst into tears at one point during the ride. Upon our arrival at the hotel, the hotel paid for our taxi but still charged us full price for the airport transfer service that they failed to deliver. When we tried to point out that charging us full price for what they just put us through was unreasonable, we were immediately met with hostility and excuses. Enver told us that they aren't actually responsible for the airport transfer (even though it is clearly listed as a service they offer on their website). He told us that they use a third party for the transfer service, however we never received any correspondence from any third party transfer service about our transfer. Enver said that the taxi wasn't that much of an inconvenience and that there was nothing they could do, that we had to pay the full amount. The AC was not functional in the first room we were given and we were moved to another room, well after midnight. The next day, they proceeded to give this room to our friends when they checked in. The AC was still not working and they had to be switched to a new room as well. Much of the hotel is in disrepair, including the rooms "Maia Luxury Beach Hotel & Spa" should just drop "Luxury", "Beach", and "Spa" from their name. The spa was a construction zone. See the attached images. They still offered some of their spa services - how exactly they fulfilled these requests was unclear. Their "Beach" is essentially a small sand box near the water (it's not actually a beach). The dock that they have is a rusty metal death trap - see attached images. 1 out of 2 elevators were functional The parking lot of the hotel is disgusting. Gross dumpsters and trash all around the dumpsters. The hotel to the right of Maia blasted club music all day and until late hours. We were very excited for our stay at Maia but we were disappointed before we even got to the hotel and it didn't get any better from there. We would have easily had a really great experience, had just a few of the issues not occurred, but instead we have been left feeling disappointed. We will never be returning to Maia hotel and we will not be recommending it to anyone.
