Main Street Hotel

Elodie was a wonderful host, making us feel very comfortable as soon as we arrived, arranging free parking for us, advising us about getting early to the daily Menem gate ceremony, and putting on an amazing breakfast spread for us each day including omelettes to order. The air conditioning was excellent considering how hot it was and we also really appreciated the private terrace outside our room "Pottery".

This was a long anticipated return visit, and it didn’t disappoint. Elodie was as attentive as before and it was like returning to a member of the family. It was all exactly as before and it was lovely to feel at home straight away. We stayed in Atelier again and it was as quirky and exquisite as before. We had family join us on this occasion, and they fell in love with the hotel and Elodie, as we had done on our first visit. It’s such a shame it is located in surroundings that cause you to leave for the day, because you could so easily just sit and chill all day! We look forward to returning again. Thank you Elodie.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where we have been made to feel more welcome. Elody could not have been more helpful. She offered us free complimentary drinks on arrival ( even though we were well ahead of the check-in time) and was willing to tell us everything we needed to know about Ypres. She also made dinner reservations for us . This young girl runs this amazing boutique hotel far beyond what anyone would expect. The hotel is immaculate and the decor quite funky. Beds really comfortable. Plenty of pressure from the shower which is always important to my husband! . Lots of fluffy white towels Elody and her mother served breakfast to the guests which included endless freshly squeezed orange juice, tea and coffee. The breakfast itself was perfect . Elody laid out freshly Baked bread and pastries and I had a wonderful cooked breakfast. The omelettes are also highly recommended If you’re visiting Ypres you have to stay here . It was the highlight of our tour of the battlefields. We may also return just to stay at Elodie‘s hotel for a weekend. I have travelled extensively around the world for the past 40 years and this Is at the top of my list of places to stay.
