Maison Sofia Hotel

Maison Sofia is not located in the city centre, but the surrounding surely compensates that. The old charming building has been very nicely renovated, and its garden with lush greenery and a turtle pond makes if for a relaxing stay, and escape from the city heat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The bonus for us was the upgrade offered due to status and it was greatly appreciated. The suite was very comfortable with the balcony and a greatly designed bathroom. Seems like the hotel is frequented by mainly business crowd. The gym and the pool are being used. Breakfast is well set and with great selection. The let down was dinner. The suggested “Bulgarian” grill was not well done. It could be much better (and we did have much better outside). Would recommend either for a short or longer stay.

This is the place! From the entrance until checkout everything was perfect. I stayed one night and it was amazing Receptionist told me when I was checking in “this is your first time but won’t be last” I didn’t pay attention that time but definitely it won’t be my last time. Every service was amazing. Restaurant looking dreamy, room is clan and bright, gym is better than most of hotels, pool was clean and nice temp. Staff are very friendly. All wellness services are included. Only place I liked in Bulgaria.

We had our wedding there and we tried a wide variety of meals and everything was super tasty! The service in the restaurant and the hotel were both impeccable. The room was very cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The garden is also really nice, especially late May and June, because at this time the Wisteria is blooming. They also have really cute turtles in the fountain! We will visit again!
