Maistra Resort Belvedere

Great location, friendly staff, excellent food. We spent 3 nights and had a great time, lots to do in the surrounding area. Great for water sports, the range of activities is good. Sunbed hire on the shore front is expensive @ 10€ a day. Overall a great hotel in a great location.

This was a great holiday. Belvedere has nice rooms. We stayed in an apartment, which was clean and had a great view. We had half board, so breakfast and dinner were included. The food was excellent for a buffet. Denis, the head chef/ executive chef, was very accommodating and helpful when asked for special requests. The hall/dining room acoustics were a bit loud at times. I wish there were some kind of panelling to dull the noise, plus the seating legs make an awful sound when pushed in and out. This made for a somewhat unpleasant visit to this part of the resort, but the customer service and food make up for this audio inconvenience. Oh, as a non-smoker, there is nowhere to escape the smokers. There everywhere!!. Almost a deal breaker for me, as they only cater for the smokers in the outside areas. I would have liked to have sat outside without smelling smoke, but if you are outside and also with kids, you have to sit with the smokers. Not happy about eating and with kids, and there is smoke billowing out of almost all guests, vaaa :( This was my only negative, but I would still give a 5-star rating to the business and the reception staff. Great work. Thanks, and I hope that next time we visit, there will be a designated area for smokers, away from everyone who wants to enjoy the views and fresh air.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience overall. Check-in was smooth and welcoming—the receptionist was fantastic and even upgraded us to a bigger apartment with a sea view, which was a lovely surprise. The reservations team was very helpful, both over the phone and via email when we confirmed our booking. I advise guests to Book through hotel directly not booking.com The apartment was clean and comfortable, but we suggest improving the window and terrace door nets—there were quite a few insects coming in during the summer. The resort is well-maintained and clean with great attention to detail. The beach is beautiful and the water was perfect. However, we found the beach sunbeds quite expensive—€30 per day (we paid €90 for 3 days), just for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Breakfast was excellent—5-star quality with lots of variety, and the staff was amazing. Pool areas were great and included free sunbeds and umbrellas. The only small downside was the baby pool—two of the water games were not working and it felt a bit outdated. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the resort. Just a few small improvements could make it even better!
