Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 Bangkok

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 7 or 8 years. Neither the standard of the facilities, nor the performance of the staff, have diminished in that time. This is still one of the best mid-sized hotels around, and the location is ideal. The rooms are well designed, with a huge fridge/freezer, cooking facilities and an extremely spacious bathroom. The pool is small, but well-designed. The gym is well-equipped. There's even a good-quality laundry in the basement. There is a Coffee Club in the lobby, which dishes up a very acceptable breakfast, in addition to good food and drinks throughout the day. Some of the staff have worked at Maitria the whole time I have been staying here. Others are newer. They are all super-friendly and helpful, and extremely efficient. Nothing is too much trouble, and they genuinely seem like they are enjoying their work. I would especially mention Khun Aoi who works at Reception. She is so friendly I feel like I have known her my whole life. This is an outstanding hotel.

A Truly Memorable Stay at Maitria Hotel – Bangkok ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My family and I had such an incredible experience at Maitria Hotel! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, especially for my parents who were celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary. They surprised us by beautifully decorating their room with rose petals and towel swans — such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture. The photo says it all! 🥰 Every team member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and exceptionally hospitable. Without a doubt, this was one of the kindest hotel crews we’ve ever met. On top of all that, the location is absolutely prime — just a short walk to the train, surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and everything you need right nearby. It made getting around Bangkok so easy and enjoyable. Thank you, Maitria, for making this milestone celebration truly unforgettable. Very good value for the money they charge. We stayed with 2 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartments are serviced daily and well appointed. The hotel is no frills and good value for money. The best part is the location, right on Sukhumvit in Soi 18. Location and value for money is the reason I repeatedly book this place every time I am in Bangkok. The hotel staff is polite welcoming and friendly. Some areas of improvement that I suggest - biggest is the breakfast service. Their association with the coffee club in their premises seems to be pulling them down. The staff at coffee club is rude, unfriendly and non co operative. They have very strict rules about the breakfast and they are very rude while explaining them. The choice of food is highly limited and no food which is kid friendly. This is something which has been going on for long and needs some major review. The apartment cleaning can be more thorough and improved. There can be some quick reference for the washing machine in the room, took us a long time to figure out how to use the drier function. The roof top pool needs more staff attention specially at busy times. Frequently sun bed cleaning and towel replacements are also something to improve.
