Makani Luxury Cartagena

It is amazing!! The rooms and the resort i general are amazing. The place is so calm and beautiful. Perfect for a family trip to rest and forget about anything but the sea and the beach. Service was the only problem. At the front desk everything ran smoothly. The restaurant was a whole different story. Very slow and no t so friendly.

We just spent the most amazing 8 days at Makani. We booked the arena master for our family and it was more than we could have ever expected. The attention to detail was incredible, both in our room as well as throughout the hotel. We loved the staff who were friendly and attentive and I don’t think I have ever had a holiday that’s been as relaxing. The pool was huge ( no deep end though) and the boogie boarding on the beach was delightful. Anyone looking by for a serene getaway where the margaritas flow and you can turn off and relax, this is the place. We loved it.

Beach Club Day Pass Review Only Makani Beach Club has a stylish design, but overall, our experience was very disappointing. While the setting looks attractive in photos, the beach itself was underwhelming — the sand and water were nothing special, and it lacked the natural beauty we had hoped for. Service was a major issue. Staff were inattentive and disorganized, we had lunch included with our pass and we had not one person ask us after lunch or even during lunch if we would like anything to drink. We asked for information about the spa and never received a response. To top it off, despite the club being nearly empty (maybe 20 people there all day), we were unexpectedly asked to leave early, which was frustrating and made the experience feel even less welcoming. The atmosphere was flat, the service was poor, and the overall experience felt far from the lively, luxurious beach day we were promised. Makani might have potential with better management and service, but as it stands, we would not recommend it.
