We received a wonderful warm welcome from our hosts Doug and Stella. The room was comfortable and peaceful with great attention to detail. Doug even arranged our dinner reservation and Stella offered excellent ideas on things to see and do in the area. A stunning, relaxing stay and brilliant breakfast.
Exceptional Level of Detail at Makarios on the River! From the moment we pressed the intercom at the gate up to leaving the place Doug and Stella were impressing us with their hospitality!. You can easily hear if hosts are enjoying their BB or that it is just their job. Well our hosts were really sparkling! A great location with view on the river, a huge deck , a room with filter coffee, a shower overlooking the Bushman river and a breakfast to never forget!
Great place to stay, we are definitly recommending Makarios on the River! It directly felt like home, the owner helped us with everything (restaurant booking for dinner, hotel recommendations for our trip, activities around Kenton), the breakfast and the sundowners were great! We would love to stay here again.
