Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre

On the surface this hotel is lovely. The location is great for accessing all the famous locations of Brighton. The accommodation is perfect. The room we had was spotless with a good sized bathroom (no bath though but I don’t think any of the rooms have a bath) and a sea view. The shower was great with a rainfall shower and a smaller directional shower head and plenty of hot water. Toiletries were provided. Tea & coffee making facilities were provided in the room and the Housekeeping team were excellent. We chose not to go out in the evening so we wanted to use TV streaming services, unfortunately this wasn’t possible because the “chromecast” wasn’t working properly. The Duty Manager tried to help but apparently we needed to have a cable (no idea why) and we just gave up. The beds are very high. If you have mobility issues especially with your hips you’ll definitely have a problem getting in the bed. The pillows are very thick and uncomfortable. Overall we all had problems sleeping. And the hotel had a very odd vibe. Personally I think this hotel is great for corporate events and things of that nature. It doesn’t feel relaxed enough for a family holiday.

I had a wonderful stay at the Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre on the 30th July 2025 —great value for money with comfortable rooms, excellent service, and a perfect location. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of high-quality options to choose from. But what really stood out was the incredibly kind lady on reception To my surprise, she gave me a birthday card and gift, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch! Every member of the team, from front-of-house to the room cleaning staff, was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the central location made it easy to explore Brighton. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—**highly recommend** and will definitely be back

checking in they didn't have a record of my booking, but luckily they had another room available. Given room with a double bed and a single bed, having both in an already tiny room not the greatest. Poor cleanliness in room, bedside shelf obviously hadn't been cleaned and moving the single bed revealed more lack of cleanliness. Also no option to hang a do not disturb sign on door, surely this is a basic for a hotel room? Having housekeeping banging on door and shouting at 1015 on Sunday morning is appalling service. Bathroom amenities poor quality and pump dispenser for shower gel doesn't work. In room safe has error code so unable to use. Breakfast is ok quality, but nothing is labelled! Also having to wait in line while other people faff around paying for breakfast, having already paid in advance with my room, is poor service. Staff at breakfast too hasty in clearing plates, i left mine for a minute to grab another orange juice, but when i came back to table my untouched bowl of fruit, yogurt and muesli had been disposed of! Location is good for shopping and beach. situated just behind Grand Hotel. but view of the back end of a multi storey car park isn't very inviting..
