Maldron Hotel Derry

Just had a great stay at the Maldron. Perfectly located for all the things we wanted to do locally and plenty of options for food and drink nearby. Have to mention Shannon on reception who was exceptional. What an excellent advocate for the hotel and the brand. Couldn't do enough to help and so genuinely warm and friendly. Thanks Shannon for making our trip that little bit brighter.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights in The Maldron Hotel, Derry. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. They seemed genuinely happy to work there. The staff recommendations for places to go were spot on. We had a great time in the city thanks to their help. The hotel was clean, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location just off The Diamond was ideal, right in the middle of the city, in the heart of everything. We ate evening meals and breakfast in the hotel. The service and menu for dinner on the first night was so good we decided to have dinner there 2 nights in a row! We both have various dietary requirements and there was plenty of choice on the menu with swaps available to accommodate our needs. This helped us enjoy our stay even more as it removed the usual struggle of finding somewhere to eat. Looking forward to our next stay there!!

Overall, my experience was okay. Unfortunately, the sheets and pillows were not clean upon my arrival. However, once I made the front desk aware, everything was swiftly changed and cleaned. While I appreciated that, it was a disappointing start to my stay. Otherwise, the room was fine and the welcome chocolates were great! Parking is relatively easy, but you will have to walk a bit to get back to the hotel. I would consider staying here again but it would not be my first choice, as there are several other options nearby.
