Maldron Hotel Glasgow City

Great central location in an area that's quiet socially. Very comfortable beds and good functional rooms with well laid out bathrooms. Easy to use shower with good water pressure and constant hot water supply. Good sized sink. Plenty of space for hanging clothes. Easy to operate valuables safe in room. Water, biscuits, instant coffee and tea bag selection refreshed daily with towels as needed. No decaf coffee. The reception desk staff are amongst the most helpful I have encountered. Seamless online check in service. Express checkout. Nice bar area, although music can be annoying at times. Bar prices not exorbitant. Considering the number of guests (12 floors here) - mainly coach tours - the breakfast buffet ran well. Really good gluten free corner. Hot breakfast ingredients so-so, but better than expected brown bread and decent back bacon. The sausages seemed to me to have been merely defrosted- didn't looked cooked on any of the three days. I would give 4.5 stars if possible due to minor glitches like this, but happy to give 5 stars as there are many many hotels in Glasgow and we found it difficult to choose. This is a nicely quiet spot, not party central, and in many ways exceeded our expectations. Would definitely return. PS - even though our booking included breakfast the website and emails kept urging us to add breakfast at £28 daily. Had we added it we would have been none the wiser and down nearly £100 so watch out for that when booking!

The room was large, modern, and very comfortable. It was well insulated, so you couldn't hear any noise from the street. The breakfast was good, and the hotel was centrally located within walking distance of most things in Glasgow.

The hotel is right in the city centre, which made it easy to get around—even if we were dodging puddles most of the day! The room was clean, modern, and spacious enough for the three of us to feel comfortable. We appreciated how quiet it was too, considering it’s in such a central location. Breakfast the next morning was a lovely treat—plenty of choice, from full hot options to lighter fare, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Big thanks to the lovely receptionists for not charging us for the late checkout—totally saved us! We got stranded thanks to the Orange Walk and our taxi had to take a detour. 🚕🙈 Appreciate the kindness and flexibility! 🙏🏼 Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Convenient location, great breakfast, and a cozy escape from Glasgow’s rainy skies. Would definitely stay again!
