Maldron Hotel Smithfield Dublin City

I recently stayed at this modern city hotel and had a genuinely pleasant experience. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that attention to comfort and design was a priority. Room & Amenities The room was well-designed with a sleek, contemporary look. I especially appreciated the clean and spacious desk area, perfect for getting a bit of work done or simply relaxing. The fan was a thoughtful touch during the warmer nights, and the lighting was soft yet effective. The TV and mirror setup added a practical and aesthetic balance, and the overall decor felt fresh and cozy. View & Location The highlight of the stay was definitely the balcony view. Overlooking a charming mix of old brick buildings and modern city lights, the view captured the character of the city perfectly. One side of the balcony looked over a beautifully lit walkway with color-coded lamp posts, leading toward what appeared to be a repurposed industrial tower now fitted with glass—an eye-catching landmark. The other side showcased the broader cityscape, complete with cranes in the distance and a blend of heritage and new developments. Surroundings The area around the hotel felt vibrant but not noisy. It’s ideally located for anyone looking to explore both the historic and modern sides of the city. There’s a nice mix of architecture, and everything feels easily accessible by foot. Overall This hotel strikes a great balance between style and function. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, it offers a cozy yet contemporary environment with a surprisingly scenic urban view. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located, clean, and stylish place to stay.

Lovely staff - very friendly But not very baby friendly. Our 10 month old was picking hair off the carpet in the room and found an old rubber hair tie. We also found a mug and spoon that was dirty. It suited us for 2 nights but we were also happy to not stay longer. Great location for a customers staying without kids

There to take your money. Room not cleaned.properly, used q-tip remained on floor all 3 nights from previous guests. No AC and had to keep door to balcony closed due to all the guests smoking on their balconies even though signs posted no smoking on balconies. staff did nothing. maids did not replenish anything. only made beds and replaced towels. when calling front desk for tea they said we had to come get it ourselves. homeless solicit right at the door. nothing done by staff. TERRIBLE STAY.
