Hubby and I had a Queen room for a Saturday night and absolutely loved it. We indulged in a spa and there was plenty of super hot water. The shower also had great pressure and we enjoyed the complimentary soaps etc. The bed was fantastic, clean and comfy and we had a nice view out on the balcony. Although close to the main road, it was quite peaceful. We also loved the heater which had a fake flame look, so cosy! There were little luxurious touches here and there which were well thought out and and added to the ambience. Thanks so much for a wonderful break from the daily grind, we'll certainly be back. Kind regards, Deanne and Richard

I stayed at Maleny Terrace Cottages for two days. Fantastic views from my balcony and friendly welcome on arrival. Unfortunately the cleanliness did not live up to the welcome and views from balcony. There was only a tiny bit of paper left on the toilet roll and no spare toilet roll. I had to go to the reception to get another roll. There was dead insects and dust on the floor behind the toilet door. One vertical blind had fallen off the balcony door and was laying on the floor behind an arm chair. The shower is stainless steel it had been wiped dry after the last guest but didn't appear to have been cleaned. There are two very rusty small rubbish bins, one in the bathroom and one in the toilet room. The three cushions on the bed very dusty and smelt soiled. The bed itself was comfortable and clean. A very damaged cheese board was put on a small table with a cheese knife unfortunately the cheese board has many cuts into the wood. Not pleasant and a health risk. A very tiny milk carton with a sip straw in fridge. That was the only milk supplied for two days. It was not replenished for the second day. Two dressing gowns in wardrobe one did not appear to have been laundered.

The management of Maleny Terraces are wonderful. They moved our booking twice free of charge. The view is amazing, but that's where it ends. We booked what was advertised as a 3 bedroom villa for 4 adults and one child for 2 nights at a cost of nearly $2,000 for my daughter's wedding. There were no photos of the house, but we saw the other beautiful accommodation and loved it. The accommodation was "View House" an old, dirty, cobwebb-ridden, lowset house with the boss's large white van taking up half the yard space. We saw the van and thought there were people still there, so we drove to reception and were told it was the boss's van. There were large piles of stuff stored outside under the carport, which meant we were soaked getting our luggage into the house in the pouring rain. The view from the house is amazing. My daughter and fiancee left after the first night due to the disgusting state of the home. The musty smell of the carpet, which needed a deep clean was accentuated by the wet weather. They had arrived at 9pm and were tired from the long drive. Next morning, they booked Maleny Lodge, a 3 bedroom premium accommodation for hundreds of dollars less a night than we paid. We are an older couple and chose to stick it out one more night. The toilet didn't work initially, but after 6 flushes, it came good. There was a wet, soiled towel still hanging in the en suite. I suspect the house was kept for the boss and given a quick superficial clean in order to accommodate us. There were cockroach baits all around the living room, where my 9 year old and 12 month old grandsons were playing. There were lovely luxury touches like chocolates in each room, but weird money-saving choices, such as quarter to half size toilet rolls, half a metre of aluminium foil, cling wrap in each box with another ½ metre refill. The sugar packets were wet and unusable and had not been checked, unsealed tea bags individually popped in small plastic bag that was not sealed. Lovely extras in the fridge though like fresh milk and water. The toaster could not accommodation cafe-sized 1" bread. Dirty marks, mould on the ceilings and cobwebs most everywhere. This was the WORST experience in a holiday home yet. The other accommodation may be fantastic, but "View House" was a 1 star.. We were completely hoodwinked into booking a 1-star by a 5-star accommodation.
