I would just like to commend the organizers at Malilule Safaris for a great weekend at the lodge. We set out for a fun weekend with friends and family. We needed a space to relax and recoup after a stressful and anxiety ridden year. The expectations were high and the need for rest even more so. When we arrived, the welcome was friendly and professional. We instantly felt like family. The hosts were friendly, talkative, and very helpful. The Chef is very capable, and the food was exquisite. She catered to all our special needs and even took all our allergies into consideration with every dish. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The silent and breathtaking environment was calming and instantly took our minds of the hustle and bustle that we experience every day. This was what we needed, and we will definitely be returning. At the conclusion of the weekend, we were amply rested and recharged, ready to retake all the challenges that everyday life has to offer. Once again, I would like to thank the hosts at Malilule Safaris for all their efforts and hard work to provide such a lovely space to relax and recharge in. What a memorable weekend.
We had an excellent time at Malilule. Gorgeous place to kick back and unwind. Layout of rooms and decks overlooking the river was incredible. Great food, super friendly staff. Got to watch a croc snatch up pray swimming across the river. Definitely a must see!!
An awesome location but.... I had an awful experience! Management needs to be reviewed. No one bothered to contact us to tell us that the wifi was down. We could not let anyone know that we had arrived safely even - unacceptable! On arrival the river had overflowed and the manager wanted us to 4x4 up the river bank! I opted to drive over the overflowing bridge. No one told us we would need a 4x4 to access the property! Granted it was raining but provision should have been made for guests? Upon arrival we were told that the room which we had booked and paid for was not available because it was leaking! The new room had no view or deck, so I insisted on the room which we had booked. The plunge pool on the deck didn't have water in it?? So we insisted that it was filled, all the water leaked out! So it was a daily battle to get it filled up every day. The furniture has not been maintained and it looked in disrepair. I wish I could post photos. This could all have been overlooked if management had been not so rude and condescending. The lodge itself is wonderful and even though we had all these problems the stay was really relaxing and enjoyable. I believe with proper management it would have been superb
