Malmaison Edinburgh City

We had a wonderful stay at Malmaison. I don't think you can beat the location! Two blocks from Princes Street with incredible dining options within half a block. Perfect place to stay if you want to explore Edinburgh. Service was great too. Anytime we asked for anything, it was delivered within 15-20 min. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The only reason I rated the rooms 4/5 stars is because the theme/design of the decor was not perfectly aligned with my taste. The dim lighting fit well with the chic fashionable aesthetic but I, personally, would have preferred more pragmatic lighting. That is merely personal taste though. We had a great stay.

We loved this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Air Conditioning was nice and worked well. I noticed some reviews mentioned the lifts being for every other floor. This is because it is a historical building and had to be installed that way and everything is on a hill. The history behind the hotel and Edinburg is fascinating. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was delicious and the host was more than helpful and found it to be a pleasant experience.

Fantastic place to stay, bit on the pricey side but so worth it. We got our room upgraded, paid for a slight upgrade but they actually upgraded us to a suite which we were grateful for as it was our anniversary. Great little amenities all around, beautiful rooms and views. Staff are great too and extremely lovely and helpful!
