Mambo Ocean Resort

Mambo Ocean Resort exeeded our expectations! Very friendly staff, great location (on the island as well as on the beach), great food at fair prices and very good stayig conditions. Staff - they are experienced and kind and always working, we tipped everybody, they really deserved it. Food - excellent food at breakfast and also at the restaurant during the day, we tried most of the dishes and enjoyed all! Location - it's a cozy resort with beachfront and integrated nature , we greatly enjoyed it, very serene. Rooms - very good conditions considering the social context, clean and spacious, well prepared bathroom as well. Locals - we socialized with the masai people (dressed in African red clothing), they are friendly and really supporting their family at home through the excursions and souvenirs they sell. We even went out to a local bar with them and had a lot of fun! :) The other locals were insisting much more and we didn't like them as much. The village is safe to walk and we encourage you to buy fruit from the locals, to support them. Overall a great experience and Mambo Ocean Resort was at the center of it!

Awesome beach front resort, great rooms,restaurant and facilities. Half board food is excellent with good choice and food prepared fresh. Staff and management is super friendly and helpful

I recently spent a memorable stay at Mambo Ocean Resort in Zanzibar, and I can confidently say it’s a slice of paradise. The resort boasts a stunning beach and a restaurant that impresses with a diverse menu featuring both international and local cuisines. Upon arrival, a mix-up with our travel agency meant that we were initially given a standard room instead of the deluxe room we had requested. However, the exceptional service of the hotel management quickly turned our experience around. David and Ana, the hotel managers, were outstanding in handling the situation despite the hotel being fully booked. Within two days, they managed to upgrade us to a superior room, reflecting their genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. The overall vibe of the resort is enchanting, with lush greenery, beautiful trees, and vibrant flowers that create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The staff throughout the property were kind and caring, making every moment of our stay comfortable and welcoming. Special thanks go to Nancy, Modeste, and their colleagues at the restaurant, whose attentive service made each meal a delightful experience. In summary, despite the initial hiccup, Mambo Ocean Resort exceeded our expectations with its remarkable service, beautiful surroundings, and delicious dining options. I would definitely return to this wonderful place for another rejuvenating getaway.
