Very clean and nice room with kettle in the room and te 👌. Very good location. 10 minutes walking to the beach or center. Nice and kind lady in the reception and helpful. Good communication. Good breakfast. Free car parking if its not ful, beside the hotel. Recommend. "Just for old people: the hotel is in second floor and have to use traps.
We had a far better experience than others at this secure and comfortable place. Breakfast is good with great service from the staff. Door entry is secure, room was clean. The bathrooms are small but OK. The owner is pleasant and informative.
Unfortunately the stay at Ma&Mi Lightrooms was the worst experience of hotels / b&bs / guesthouses in Sicily. Fist of all I would like to point out that the house is quite good located. It is not far to the old town and also the beach is easily walkable from the house. The near by parking-deck is a great addition. It is a public parking storage, so it does not really come with the booking and one could park there while staying in any other place. But it is nice to have it next to the building. The rooms seem to be okay freshly renovated. The breakfast was okay but without real Sicilian specialties (at other places for around the same price the hosts offered a more special breakfast). All this is totally fine considering the price of the house. To this point I would like to give like 4 stars out of 5. Unfortunately the host stays in his own way as he communicated very harsh and unfriendly. It started with the fist message that points out that there is a 100€ fine for late check in. But than the check in was completely remote, without any personal contact. Why applying a fine for coming late than? Did not bother me too much, cause I was on time anyways. It just made me wonder. Also the WhatsApp conversation beforehand was very uncomfortable. Arriving the room there is a list of relatively strict rules to follow (like paying extra for having more than two drinks at breakfast, or a more than normal use of towels that costs 8€ per towel). All this felt like one needed to be super careful. I felt the need to make photos of everything in the room and to check if everything was functional. Otherwise I felt like maybe getting a high bill in the end. On top of this the room was not really clean. The toilet paper was not fresh, there was a lot of old water in the toiletbrush, stains on the bedsheets and so on… Again, I can overlook all of those not perfect spots for this price. But please don’t put pressure on your guests and don’t be rude towards them, when you’re not perfect. With this I did not feel welcome at all. It could have been a decent stay, but the host made this a real bad experience after all. I like to point out that the staff at breakfast was really nice! Also I double checked if there were any problems with my stay and I do have fotos of the room that I left. To all the bad ratings the host replied with harsh criticism and attacked the reviewer. He told me everything was fine with my stay on WhatsApp. So I’m curious whatever replay comes. Kind regards :)
