Valet service sucked. They have major attitude at first I thought it was because they were busy but then realized it must of been the leadership. The only valet that stood out as professional was Emma May she was very polite and smiled and was courteous. Outside of that experience the hotel is very nice the rooms are spacious and the location is perfect. We love staying at the Hyatt Manchester. They may need to consider reorganizing their valet team because that is a mood killer.

Optional upgrades for better room views and better elevator experience in the Seaport tower was a fun change up. I haven’t stayed on this side for a long time and it feels great not to wait on the elevator. This is always a favorite hotel and having Seaport Village right outside the door is great for quick access to food. The staff at the hotel is top notch. Really a great place to stay!

I would have love to give 5 stars but unfortunately I am not able to because of an incident that occurred during my stay here that occurred on Sunday, July 20th. I was in town for a conference from July 17-21. On Sunday, I returned to the hotel around 1:10 PM after some shopping, intending to freshen up before meeting my coworkers in the lobby at 1:30 PM. However, when I attempted to use my key at the elevator, the screen displayed "Access denied." Assuming the issue might be due to my room key being near my wallet and other credit cards, I tried my second key, but received the same "Access denied" message. I became concerned, thinking perhaps I had mistakenly chosen the wrong checkout date. I quickly went to the front desk to address the situation. The clerk informed me that another member of my party had requested new keys. However, I was alone in the room and had no other guests with me. While checking in, I had mentioned that my husband and kids might join me, but we changed our plans and I was alone. The clerk then requested my ID, confirmed my name, and verified that I had the correct checkout date. Subsequently, they canceled all previous keys that were active and issued new ones. Although I was in a rush to meet my coworkers, I expressed my hope that nothing was missing from my room and that no unauthorized person had entered. I don't recall the clerk's response, but I proceeded to my room, found everything in order, changed my shoes, and left again. The more I thought about it, the more it troubled me. Proper protocol requires checking ID before issuing new keys, yet someone was given keys to my room without any ID verification. As a presenter at a significant conference, my name and phone number were already circulating, and this incident raised serious concerns for me. Coincidentally, I saw a news report highlighting similar issues in hotels, where a woman and her male counterpart would exploit the system to gain access to rooms without proper ID checks. I spoke to someone at checkout and said I wanted to speak to a manager about this and was given a card for Someone named Jayson. I stated I would like to discuss this matter further, as it poses a significant safety risk but I never received any feedback from that email or the main Hyatt email. This was my first stay at a Hyatt, and although the situation seemed minor, I expected someone to escort me to my room to ensure everything was secure, considering the unauthorized issuance of keys.
