Manchester International Hotel

We stayed 2 nights at the Fubang hotel. The lobby is lovely, the rooms are dated and a bit tired, though the beds were great. Highlight for us was the massage centre and spa on its own level. Dark and cool and modern tiled, we were led to one of the many spacious private rooms where my friend and I got our massages, 179 Y for 70 mins, with tea and food served as well. Breakfast was good - nice selection and lovely decor. Really, the only negatives were the tired bathrooms, and no fridge in our room that we could find (it wasn't a big room, so we looked everywhere!)

The service and the restaurant were great, the location is ideal as it is directly across the road from a shopping complex providing access to various food outlets and shops. Unfortunately our mattress was upside down (springs facing up) and most of the power points in the room did not work. The room itself is nice and has everything you need with all amenities provided. We were staying on the 12th floor and the smell of cigarette smoke was quite bad in the bedrooms, assumably coming in through the air conditioner. I got a massage whilst I was there and the team were very helpful and friendly.

Okay location is all this place has going for it. Service was appalling - staff at the hotel (Yuan Xiaotang) and restaurant were extremely rude, unhelpful, and understood every word you said but refused to acknowledge you. The rooms are falling apart, are old, outdated, and have severe mould and water damage throughout. Everything smells like cigarette smoke and is the dirtiest hotel I’ve stayed in. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. Would not recommend.
