Mandara Country Lodging

I came to visit my son who lives in kibbutz Urim and stayed 5 nights in Mandara. The room was so specious and clean. The service was excellent! Jackie and Daniela from the office are so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend to stay here. So quiet and peaceful! Great value!!!

I stayed 3 nights here and it felt like such a privilege. I had learnt a little bit about kibbutz from my adult Israeli students (I'm not Jewish) but getting to see and stay in a real one was such a joy - and I was made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. First, it is so amazing to be out in this part of Israel. Farming land, desert, countryside. Access to Shivta and Masada which are amazing UNESCO Heritage-listed sites. The trip south was the best part of my 3.5 weeks in Israel. Then the kibbutz itself is so beautiful. A huge garden. It really is an oasis of calm. I slept like a log every night I was there. The cabin I stayed in was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with good A/C and plumbing. I'm a middle-aged woman who travels solo so the place is not really geared to me (LOL!!). There were tables outside, but none inside, but I managed with the cooking facilities and the kibbutz shop is very good. Mandara is great for families and couples. it was the Sukkot holiday while I was there, and the cheerful happy noise of children was a joy. I really recommend it.

In the middle of the Negev dessert , the Urim country lodging welcomed us surrounded with green lawns and flowers, friendly staff and a clean comfortable room. A wonderful breakfast served at the Kibbutz dining room gave us the opportunity to experience the kibbutz life! A detailed map and brochure, as well as the staff's recommendations helped us make the most out of our stay
