Mandarava Resort and Spa Karon Beach

Wonderful hotel. My third time here. Staff are amazing. Lovely rooms, beautiful pools. This hotel is set on the side of a mountain so could be a little tricky for some with mobility issues. But they have a shuttle always available to take you to and from your room. They have an amazing Thai restaurant on site this is definitely worth a visit. Would return again.

We had such a wonderful time my family. It felt like home from the check in until the check out. The stuff were helpful and kind at all times. The room was just like in the photos, beautiful well maintained, super clean and with a relaxing view. The food in both restaurants was delicious and the snacks at the pool also great. The private transfers were organized always on time. On my husband’s birthday we also received a thoughtful surprise which I will not disclose not to spoil the unexpected delight. All in all a n amazing experience!

This resort is about 40km from the airport, but it took us nearly two hours to get here during rush hour to Karon Beach. The nearest beach is around 1.4km away — walkable if you enjoy an evening stroll. Built on a hill, the walk up can be a bit strenuous, but the buggies were a great help and always available. Service was excellent throughout — friendly and attentive from check-in onwards. I had the chance to join the complimentary yoga class (held on Mondays and Wednesdays). The instructor was lovely, though it’s worth noting that advance booking is usually required — something we weren’t informed of during check-in. Our room was clean and beautifully laid out, with a stunning view of the Andaman Sea. Thoughtful touches like a straw bag, slippers, and two keycards made the stay even more comfortable. The breakfast spread was generous, including a small vegan section. This place felt like a slice of heaven — I’ll definitely return.
