Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were very spacious and the facilities were also very good (one of the best hotel SPA I have experienced). Also, separately, I want to thank Edward Zhang on the reception. He was extremely professional and went out of his way for the stay to be as relaxing and comfortable, as possible, which was definitely achieved. The concierge team also did a great job and were very helpful with their guidance on locations and restaurants. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences despite the weather not being the best.

My husband and I recently stayed at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou during our visit to the Canton Fair, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of. One of the standout features was the complimentary shuttle service to and from the fairgrounds. Not only were the buses punctual and well-organized, but refreshments were thoughtfully provided on board, which my husband really appreciated during his busy days at the fair. While he was occupied, I had the chance to explore the city. I couldn’t have done it as smoothly without the incredible support from the concierge team. They were helpful, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. I’d like to give a special thank you to the Chief Concierge, Mr. Younes Chao, who was not only professional and well-spoken but went above and beyond for me. His kindness and help were genuinely appreciated. Our room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable, offering a calm retreat after a long day. The guest services team also surprised us with a thoughtful celebration gesture in our room which was nice. It was our first time in Guangzhou, and choosing the right hotel felt tough but we’re so glad we made the decision to stay here. I can confidently say that I see myself booking again without hesitation. Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou delivered on every level: luxury, service, and heartfelt hospitality.

Check in at noon time was slow as front desk only opened three counters. The Club Mandarin Room was decent and comfortable. It also has a valet box which Housekeeping could deliver your laundry and other items without the need to enter room. Sleep quality was not good as the soundproofing could not block the street noises. Location is superb as it is connected to TaiKoo Hui mall.
