This place is absolutely worth every penny. The property is beautiful and well maintained and the food is delicious. The service is what makes this hotel though. The staff is so accommodating and friendly - one of the few places that offers an elevated experience without being stuffy. The small things they do make a difference- for example they serve breakfast until 1130 and even then if you run late they will still allow you to order slightly past that. The restaurant hostess made sure we got moved to the window table we wanted though it was not available when we first sat down. She also remembered me the next day snd pointed me to where my mom had already sat down. Front desk staff was also so pleasant to interact with. These things make a huge difference in a world where most hotels have become so rigid in their policies that they have totally forgotten about the guest experience. Their spa is also top notch and offers the same level of attentiveness. We will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing experience.
I usually go to the spot the man doing an Oriental. It’s lovely. I’ve gotten really really good massages there recently. I had Maria. She was wonderful. The amenities in the spa are beautiful. The hotel itself is actually beautiful. They have a great lobby restaurant bar that overlooks the city. It’s truly you feel like you’re in New York iconic.
Just stayed at the Mandarin Oriental NYC and honestly? It was next-level. From the second I walked in, the energy was luxury but not in a cold, intimidating way—it felt warm, elevated, and super welcoming. Our room was stunning. Spotless, beautifully designed, and those floor-to-ceiling views of Central Park? Unreal. Like, I caught myself just staring out the window like I was in an HBO drama. Everything was so thoughtfully done—from the lighting to the tech to the little details that made it feel more like a sanctuary than a hotel. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member I spoke to was kind, attentive, and just got it. No awkwardness, no fake smiles—just genuine hospitality that made the whole experience feel even more special. Room service came fast and was actually delicious (rare!). Whether you’re visiting NYC for a special occasion or just feel like romanticizing your life for a few days, this place absolutely delivers. 10/10 would stay again.
