The overall experience is wonderful. The Italian restaurant is good and manager and staff know their food and wine well. The room is comfy and clean with everything prepared. Big thanks for the birthday cake! Special appreciation to the staff who helped me with checking in. He is so nice and I feel like home when he speaks Cantonese to me. One note is to consider reviewing the room amenities to improve quality.

Apologies for the delayed response. We had a truly enjoyable and memorable stay at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we encountered demonstrated genuine attentiveness and care toward guests’ needs. One particular moment that stood out was when I called Housekeeping to request an extra pillow for my pregnant sister-in-law. The staff not only promptly assisted us but also thoughtfully offered a pregnancy pillow, which we greatly appreciated. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Club Lounge experience. Since checking in, we found ourselves spending most of our time there — it became the perfect setting for meaningful catch-ups with family. The food selection, service, and ambiance were excellent, making it a highlight of our stay. During breakfast, I ordered the abalone chicken porridge. While the flavor was lovely, I did notice that it was not served as hot as expected. This is a small detail, but I thought it might be worth sharing for future improvement. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and look forward to returning in the future. Next time, we’ll be sure to request a firm bed for better support. Thank you once again for the wonderful hospitality.

This was our first time staying at a Mandarin Oriental property. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and found the staff to be consistently warm and professional. However, there were a few service and value-related points that left us underwhelmed, especially considering the brand's reputation and the premium we paid. We booked our stay using the Chase Sapphire Reserve travel portal, which ended up costing nearly TWD 40,000 more than the rates available directly through the hotel’s own website. Unfortunately, there were no additional perks or benefits that justified the difference, making the booking feel like poor value in hindsight- probably not related to the hotel tho, just a warning for the credit card users We were also unaware of the complimentary limousine service, as no staff member reached out in advance or during check-in to inform us. In addition, although we had booked a suite and were enrolled in the Fans of M.O. program, we were initially denied the 2:00 PM late check-out benefit. Only after going down to the concierge a second time were we granted a 1:00 PM checkout—something that ideally should have been proactively offered. Breakfast offered a good variety, though does not worth the price. So many good food locally for your selection. This was a honeymoon trip for my husband and me, and while we enjoyed our time, the overall experience didn’t quite reach the level of excellence we were hoping for. It’s worth noting that the spa was closed during our stay, which was another disappointment. That said, every staff member we encountered was courteous, attentive, and professional, which we truly appreciated.
