Pros: - Hotel staff are super friendly and helpful - Buffet, restaurants, and Bars: This hotel truly offers diverse and high quality food selections. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages selection for the pool bar is limited but it is still satisfying. - Great amenities: two clean and great swimming pools, a mini-gym (can be better equipped), spa, and a number of bars in different segments of the hotel.(including one disco bar in Cafe Leon) are major amenities of this hotel - Room: it was clean with a comfortable bed, minibar, safebox, and cooling system (AC Split). - Location: The location of this hotel is fantastic as it is 500meters away from Bodrum's city center yet it is still in a relatively peaceful area away from unpleasant noises and the crowded area of the city center. There is also a taxi stand next to the hotel which facilitates your transfer to other locations in Bodrum. Hotel itself is around 30km away from the airport which is not that far away Cons: - Service: Although services in restaurants and bars are at an excellent level, room services can be improved. For 3 out of 7 days, room cleaning was missed and we had to remind the hotel reception to send someone! - Room: Although the quality of the room was good, renovation is definitely needed specially for the bathroom as it was a bit old and worn out (at least for our room if not for the whole hotel). - Wi-Fi: The biggest disadvantage and disappointment was definitely the matter of the internet connection! Although Wi-Fi was working properly in public areas, it had a weak signal inside the room (Wi-Fi is almost not working when you are inside the room) if you need to use the Wi-Fi, you have to go to public areas of the hotel for a stronger connection! This is the most important matter this hotel needs to fix and improve! Conclusion: This hotel is highly recommended due to its great location, its friendly vibe, almost excellent services, and its amenities
We are currently staying at the Mandarin Resort Bodrum (5 stars) and unfortunately, our experience has been a disaster. In 6 days, our room has been cleaned only once, and that was after repeated complaints. We activated the green button every day requesting cleaning, but it was completely ignored. Every single day we had to chase after basic necessities like clean towels or toilet paper. Nothing was done. We even had to buy our own cleaning products and take towels directly from the housekeeping carts just to maintain a minimum level of hygiene. For a hotel presenting itself as a 5-star resort, this is absolutely shameful and unacceptable. Hygiene should be the number one priority, far before location or activities. Here, not only is it neglected, but customer service shows complete indifference to guests’ complaints. We travel often and have never experienced such negligence in a so-called 5-star hotel. We are still here, and this stay is already a huge disappointment. Avoid at all costs. A new concept: self-service 5-star luxury. Too bad it feels more like camping than a resort.
Firstly this hotel is NOT a 5 star resort- false advertisement. I booked this hotel based on the amenities advertised on their website, including an animation room, disco, entertainment with a live DJ, and a kids club. Unfortunately, none of these were actually available during our stay. It was disappointing, especially since these features were a big part of why we chose this hotel in the first place. I hope the management updates the website to reflect what’s currently offered so future guests aren’t misled. The food in this hotel buffet was atrocious, I had found hair in my dessert and there was not a wide variety of food; with most of the food being inedible. This hotel was supposed to be an all inclusive hotel, but the drinks machine was off half the time and there was NOT access to any food and drinks after certain times. The snack time would last for around an hour and that was if any food was left. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and DEFINITELY WOULD NOT STAY HERE. I travelled here with a party of 10 with multiple rooms. The rooms cleanliness were not up to standard with each room having ripped bed sheets and coach-roaches. For those who are scared of cats this is not a hotel for you, at first we were place in a separate block to the hotel which was a trek away from the main building. Which ‘5 star resort’ has blocks/annexs? Certain members of staff such as housekeeping and some front house staff were welcoming. However, a couple staff members were extremely rude and disrespectful.
