Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel

This is a really nice location for a holiday on Skiathos. Koukounaries is a quiet location in the evenings. The hotel is excellent with a village style of accommodation in separate bungalows and apartments. The gardens are well cared for and provide a sheltered environment throughout the area. The gardeners care for the place very well. Breakfast is buffet style and offers a really excellent range of cooked food, meats, cheeses, fruits and cereals. The people are very good, friendly and helpful. And the coffee is good too. Many thanks for a pleasant holiday.

Location: situated within 10 minutes walk to Koukounaries beach - one of the best on the island - and just across the road from the bus stop. Rooms: we stayed in a family room, it was really spacious and well decorated, the showers were a bit hit and miss (but there was works on when we stayed so possibly caused by that). Only down side was the room was right in the middle of the complex and quite noisy. Pool: the pool is on the small side, but it was clean and just what we needed to cool off. Never had a problem with getting loungers Food: breakfast options are pretty good, however the coffee machine was a bit of an issue. There's only my one machine resulting in a large queue, that combined with teeny, tiny cups means you feel like you're constantly queuing for caffeine.

I’m sorry, but this hotel is not a 4star hotel. The breakfast was very basic, with poor quality foods. Many photos from Booking are made with AI and are very missleading. The rooms aren’t all the same, some of them looking kind of old, the pool is not like in the official photos. The additional sofa bed was very narrow and uncomfortable. The only thing saving the situation are the friendly staff, the nicely looking pool and common area and good dinner food. We were expecting something else based on the reviews and we were dissapointed.
