**Mane Family Vacation - Siem Reap (5 Nights in January, as a Couple)** Our stay at the Mane Family Vacation in Siem Reap was defined by tranquility and a strong connection to nature and the temples around Angkor Wat. We have been at the lakeside villa, which came with a private pool and breathtaking views. The room was clean and well-maintained, although slightly showing its age. **Gym Facilities** The gym is located at the sister hotel, accessible by a complimentary shuttle. While we didn’t use it, this setup might be an inconvenience for some. **Dining Options** We only dined at the hotel once and were advised to order meals in advance via WhatsApp—a helpful tip since service time can be a bit slow. Breakfast was similar, with pre-ordering and confirmations being key for a smooth experience. You can get breakfast delivered to the room/villa or if there is no event or ceremony, you can also have the breakfast at the restaurant. **WiFi and Connectivity** The WiFi was unstable, and mobile coverage (Mobifone) was limited, which could pose challenges for remote work or staying connected. **Service Quality** Communication via WhatsApp with the host was convenient, making arrangements easy. Special thanks to Visal and So Khim for their effort to make our stay flawless. The staff was helpful, particularly with organizing transportation (e.g., renting bikes to go to Angkor Wat, tuk-tuks to the center for $2). However, service consistency varied among some staff members, and additional training could enhance the guest experience, for example at food & beverage service. The property was peaceful and well-suited for adults, especially with our private villa setup. There are playgrounds for kids as well on the other side of the property. **Location/Accessibility** Located just 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from Siem Reap’s center, the hotel offered a convenient base for exploring the area. Staff assistance with drivers and excursions was efficient and reasonably priced. **General Facilities** The sprawling property includes rice fields, gardens, and a lake, offering serene surroundings. However, certain areas, like the pond by the lake or some exhibition pieces on rice farming—a great idea in theory—that were very old with illegible description texts, felt neglected. Attention to such details could elevate the overall impression. **Opportunities for Improvement** Name tags for employees, training for f&b service, better communication consistency among staff, and enhanced training are small adjustments that could make a big difference. **Bottom Line** Mane Family Vacation offers a tranquil retreat with excellent WhatsApp communication and serene lakeside villas. While service and maintenance have minor gaps, the helpful staff, scenic location, and peaceful ambiance make it a strong choice for couples seeking a relaxing stay while discovering Siem Reap and the temples around Angkor War.
Definitely my favorite hotel during my stay in Siemreap! Everything was perfect. Good location, not far from the temples and from the center of the city. My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa, nice decoration and clean. Each villa is far from each other so you get the privacy you need. The garden and outside areas are well maintained and beautiful. The service is excellent, the staff are very polite and reactive. I recommend!
The place is nice and beautiful but this is not a hotel.. see this more like a guesthouse with various villas in a park. Few people working there, you are pretty much on your own, very limited service. No butler as they say just a WhatsApp which is not very efficient in the end. Buggies never there so you have to walk a lot. And the place is 10 min far from city center It’s a nice place but really not a hotel and even less a 4 star hotel. People there are really trying their best to make you feel comfortable, but you feel like management is just here to get the money. Restaurant is so so so pricey it’s indecent. More pricey than raffles lol for tiny food and poor service. This place has so much potential it actually hurts to see it kind of abandoned by a clear greedy management. You want to offer a simpler experience to your guests ? Ok fine but please don’t price it like a 4 star hotel…
