Mangapapa Hotel

We visited this place to celebrate our mum’s 70th birthday with her friends, and it was such a special experience. The food was beautifully presented and delicious – everyone really enjoyed the selection. The service was also excellent; the staff were attentive and kind throughout. A special thank you to the manager, who personally greeted us and made sure everything went smoothly. It was such a lovely touch that made the day feel even more memorable. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a relaxing afternoon tea!

This is the most perfect 4 day stay! The staff are so polite and helpful. House keeping with our daily room clean and stock were just immaculate! Dinner was so tasty! Breakfast came with our stay and was just perfect also! Has everything there. We walked right around the property. Used the spa pool. Never got to use the well equipped gym. Used the sauna. You can even book massages and facials. This is a beautiful old hotel with amazing history. Highly recommend!

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!! The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. They were the picture of hospitality! The food at Mangapapa was some of the best we had during our visit to New Zealand! If our travels ever bring us back to Hawkes Bay, we will not miss Mangapapa - in fact, we might plan the entire trip around the hotel. Thank you for all that you did to make our stay a highlight of our trip!
