Great value for money rooms just outside of ubud. You will definitely need to hire a scooter as it is a fair walk away from the main strip in town and it is not well lit at night time. Hot shower, nice balcony on every room. Free breakfast is supplied and cooked to order at a time of your choosing, pretty basic choices but it's passable. Air-conditioning works well though we rarely needed it on. Lovely pool area and rooms are cleaned every day. Would definitely recommend.
The best hotel in Ubud, period. Amazing breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Bill (who actually lives there) made morning conversations enjoyable and gave us good tips on what to do and what not to. The place is a bit far from the main road but it makes up for it with the ambiance, cleanliness and quiet nights where you can actually get rest and relax. Would definitely go there again.
Overall, a very nice place, away from the noisy streets of Ubud, but not too far a walk. Takes around 12 minutes, with plenty of local restaurants, mini marts and launderettes along the way. The hotel is clean, has a nice design and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It can be a struggle at times with the language barrier but they do try and you can definitely get by. My only gripe was it’s a little noisy, we were there at the end of November 2018 for a few days, and there was construction either side of the hotel, the walls are thin and it can begin at 8am which can be annoying if you want a late start. The frogs are also loud, and they make some weird noises, you’ve been warned. Some rooms are better than others in terms of sunlight, which can help with drying clothes on the balcony, top floor is definitely better so try to request this. Pool area is nice, worth of some instagram shots for sure. There is parking on site, but usually gets taken by the scooters, however if you have a car you can park on the street. A couple more bonus points, the after dinner supper is small but a treat when you get in after a long day, after a couple of days you start to look forward to it. And then there is the permanent hotel resident, Bill. He’s an expat from USA, very kind and friendly, he’s a guy that knows a thing or two so have a chat if you spot him. Very good value overall, in a nice area of Ubud, you won’t be disappointed.
