Mangrove Resort Hotel

It's genuinely a great place to stay in Subic with the balance of intimacy and location. It's not off the main street so it's safe for the littles, parking is adequate, the whole reservation process was a breeze and the staff was nothing short of helpful. The owner sometimes stays in the area and is conversational, good for the guests. The only feedback would be for the food service to be a bit more consistent, it either comes out in long periods of time or would need follow ups with the servers. Otherwise it's decent food, only eat at the hotel if you don't have options, otherwise the surrounding areas have good places to have local food.

Great service, great location, beautiful view of the ocean, small but decent pool and beach access, affordable room rates and food. The only downside were the quality of the rooms. At first entry, the room seems nice. It was very spacious but the airconditioning was very weak and when we left it for hours it still wasn't that cold but it was enough to keep me from sweating. The air was a bit dry in the room though, it was a bit musty. But we were given a room near the pool but far from the noise and it was great! The floor was a bit sticky like it had soap residue. The bed was hard. I sleep on a relatively hard mattress but that one was a little harder than I'm used to. It was also a bit itchy but no visible bites (might just be me) Happy to report that they have toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and soap) as of our stay. Still, for the price we booked for an overnight stay, it was great. They also have their own parking lot and you can explore the town and return. All of the staff were very attentive and friendly. They have a pool that's around 5'4" and a small beach access that's not rocky or full of ocean clump. They have tables overseeing the beautiful ocean where you can feel the ocean breeze while having beer. Overall, a good place. Would definitely consider returning.

Spacious Room But Kinda Old Not value for their price. Room was spacious and staffs were very friendly. Room service is kinda slow which will take them more than an hour to prepare our rice meal. We also experienced some inconvenience during our stay: 1. They gave us a room that the bathroom exhaust was not functioning 2. Poor air conditioning even with a ceiling fan 3. Room is not as well equipped compared to our companions like chairs, table & mini sofa 4. Shower head has lots of rust 5. No hotel indoor slippers I can say we won’t be staying again in this property.
