Manoir Dalmore

Splendid Arts and Crafts house tastefully converted into a small hotel. Thoughtfully laid out room with a delightful view over the beach and cove. Good beds, plenty of hot water. Evening meal was excellent value for money other than a rather sad cheese plate, stick to the tasty desserts.

A very lovely place to stay. Beautiful location, very friendly and welcoming staff. Good breakfast and excellent food in the evenings we ate at Manoir Dalmore.

The manor is a quaint throwback to Newport, RI with its architecture and immediate beach access. Breakfast and dinner hours are set (8h30 and 19h30) which is great for clarity and challenging when your plans don’t line up; they were accommodating to my need for caffeine and vegetarian diet. Our room was cozy and eccentric; orange highlights, tiny antechamber off which is a toilet room, a shower and sink behind a glass wall and our bedroom. The shower area had hints of days gone by with granite circling staircase above the rain nozzle and below the sink! The staff (including the dog and chickens) were pleasant and professional. The building itself is quiet (and blackout curtains helped us sleep!) though it is right next to a fairly busy beach. Note that it’s about a 10 minute drive from boulangeries / restaurants, so you’ll need a car!
