An amazing spot surrounded by nature, peace and quiet! The view is stunning, the river brings a sense of calm and relaxed. The room (familiar) is big, I’d prefer a most cozy one but they didn’t have availability at that moment; but the size is perfect for family. The breakfast is really good with great options. They have option for lunch and diner with tasty and flavor food, which is really great mainly for the diner to avoid going out and the atmosphere at the night is really enchanting! At the hotel is also available massage (under reservation) and honestly is one of the best massages that I’ve ever did in France. Hosts are super welcoming, helpful and nice. Just a tip, it should be good to be more attentive to the emails / messages sent by the customer, just this point must be improved.

We ended up staying at Hotel Restaurant Manoir d’Hautegente for one night because our car broke down which honestly turned out to be such a lucky accident! Everyone there was so kind and helpful, it really made a stressful situation way better. The place is absolutely beautiful, with such a beautiful, well-kept garden and the whole hotel feels really cozy and is family run. We felt super comfortable and welcome right away. The biggest challenge was trying to communicate with the tow service and local garages because hardly anyone spoke English. But the amazing lady at the reception, who runs the hotel, took care of all the calls for us and did everything she could to help. Thanks to her, we managed to get our car fixed and keep going the very next day, something we definitely wouldn’t have managed on our own. Honestly, without their help, we’d probably still be stuck there! If we ever have car trouble again, please again exactly here. What started as a nightmare in France actually turned into such a beautiful stay in the countryside. This really is the most beautiful hotel in France. We’re so grateful for everything and loved our time there most definitely coming back! (But without a broken car) Thank you SO much! Hugely grateful💕

Location would be 6 if possible, an absolutely stunning site. Rooms are well furnished, comfortable and clean. Good location for exploring the Dordogne from.
