Manor House Boutique Hotel

Friendly, clean and a stones throw to Darlinghurst. Historical building with old world charm. Very comfortable bed, for the price of the room it was really good value. The water pressure could have been better but that was fine. Would stay again.

The location is great, the price is also great. There is parking if you get in early. The rooms are big. The staff consists of young university students who stay there for free while manning the front desk. We have stayed there twice and the quality has gone down. It is dusty, and some artificial fragrance sticks hidden behind the bed kept me awake til I found its source and handed it to the front. The beds are rock hard and we discovered they aren't beds at all but box springs and the cheapest mattress pad from Ikea. After three nights we were stiff and sore. Unforgettable but not in a good way.

This place is quite lovely and the people were nice enough. It's sad it is not kept that clean. The dust was incredibly built up in areas and the smell of mould overwhelming. Not good for anyway with mould sensitivity as it made me congested and coming out in a rash. Black mould was growing on the curtains as well. The room had someone's underwear left behind the bedside table. It was so incredibly noisy as well from movement within the hotel. Sadly I would not stay here again.
