The stay was enjoyable. Really good rooms. Great location, short walk into town, close to the beach. Staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. The pool was very cold and the pool bar is expensive. Happy hour only included wine.

Great pool, good location, good facilities. The room we had was basic but what I expected for the price point in PD. The bathroom was a little dated and shower pressure was terrible. Overall we were content and happy with our stay.

We recently stayed at Mantra Portsea and were completely disgusted by the condition of our room. This place markets itself as a 4-star resort, but what we experienced felt closer to a neglected budget motel. The air conditioning unit stank of mould. Out of concern for our health, we wiped it down ourselves and the cloth came back covered in thick black grime (see photo). Breathing that air all night made us feel sick. There is absolutely no excuse for something that unsanitary to be overlooked. To make matters worse, on bedhead there was a brown greasy stain on the wall, clearly from years of built-up dirt (also photographed). It was obvious that proper cleaning and maintenance are not a priority here. This isn’t just disappointing, it’s a health hazard. For the price we paid, it’s unacceptable. I’m posting this in hopes that management actually sees it and takes responsibility, because quite frankly, we deserve a partial refund for being put in a room that never should’ve been rented out in that state.
