Mantra Wollongong

I booked this on Bookings.com and later came across the poor Google reviews and felt a bit apprehensive! We had an absolutely fantastic stay and don’t know what all the Google reviews are about. Check in was smooth, and staff were very helpful during our stay. We brought our little miniature schnauzer and we were provided with dog bowls and felt very welcome. Our apartment very large, and absolutely spotless. The carpet was impeccably clean. Very very comfortable beds and pillows, large TV and appliances all worked well with everything you could need for a kitchen holiday apartment. We had a room service once for our three nights which was completely adequate with all the cleaning facilities in the room. There is free street parking outside. The only legitimate thing from the Google reviews is that the single lift is very slow, but this is really a non issue in the scheme of things for a holiday. Overall a great stay and good value for money. We will return! Thank you!

The room was quite dark and felt a little gloomy upon entering. The sofa appeared unclean and uninviting, so I had to use my own blanket to cover it before sitting down. Unfortunately, the bathroom ventilation fan wasn't working, and the shower area had no proper separation, causing water to spread throughout the entire bathroom floor. What concerned me the most was the overall cleanliness, which I believe needs significant improvement. While the place has potential, a better focus on hygiene and maintenance would greatly enhance the guest experience.

The place is so run down and over priced. Mould in the rooms on the curtains and lamps. Ensuite not cleaned, still a dirty used towel hanging in bathroom. Skid mark in toilet. Put the do not disturb sign on only to come back to two maintenance men in our room fixing the air con/heater which we never complained about. You cannot enter someone’s room without asking. This is a breach of privacy when you have personal items. We could have been showering or getting changed or even worse! The men then stayed knowing we were uncomfortable. We left and expect a full refund! I would never stay again not even if it was for free!
