M'ar De Ar Muralhas

A perfect place to stay when visiting Evora. The location is fabulous, right in the old historical town center. This hotel has also a lot of character. The pool is a bonus in hot summer days. Food is amazing at the restaurant and bar has a list of fabulous cocktail under €8...look no further. This is the place in Evora!

I believe this is the best hotel in Évora to stay with kids! We’ve been to another couple of hotels in Évora but this one is the best price/quality for families. The highlights: the breakfast and the service from everyone working at the breakfast, so nice and kind! Also the pool, views, location, kids club. Downsides: cleaning service at the room and the restaurant.

I’m trying to figure out who gives hotels stars because they should be reviewed poorly as well. The fact this place is 4 stars is comical. I’ve stayed at better Super 8’s in the American Midwest. They got our rooms wrong when we arrived. The service was very slow at the pool / bar. We had broken glass in our room. Our hand soap was broken with the pump laying on the counter and instead of doing anything about it, they just cleaned the surface and put it back. Instead of refilling or removing our water in the room they left an empty glass bottle on the mini fridge. The staff walked a plastic shopping cart full of glass plates over the stone at 12am which was very loud. Why does a “4 star” hotel even make their employees use shopping carts to walk dirty dishes through the main guest area? I’m beside myself how this place can call itself four stars and charge as much as they did. If you’re thinking of going literally anywhere else to stay in the city, you should.
