Mar de Fulles Hotel

A beautiful boutique sustainable hotel with attached restaurant serving local food in a wild natural setting. The food and service at the restaurant was top-notch! Chef Juan and the entire staff were wonderful!

I recently revisited Mar de Fulles, and I am pleased to say that my experience was much improved compared to my last visit nearly a year ago. The restaurant has made significant strides, particularly in terms of service, although there are still a few areas that could benefit from further refinement. It’s situated in a stunning location, surrounded by nature which adds to its charm. However, the summer heat can be quite intense. During my visit to the restaurant, I had to request that the air conditioner be turned on, which was initially accommodated. However, I was informed that it would be switched off during our meal. This was a bit uncomfortable and seemed unusual, possibly due to cost concerns. Ensuring a consistently comfortable dining environment would greatly enhance the overall experience. The food at Mar de Fulles is consistently delicious, thanks to the talented kitchen staff. The menu tends to remain fairly stable with only minor changes. While the dishes are always tasty and well-prepared, I wish there were more frequent updates or additional options to choose from. The culinary team clearly has the skill to deliver a more varied and dynamic menu, and it would be wonderful to see this potential fully realized. Overall Mar de Fulles has many positive attributes – a beautiful setting, excellent food, and an improving service team. Despite a few minor issues, my overall experience was quite enjoyable. With more attention to the finer details, particularly in terms of comfort and menu variety, Mar de Fulles has the potential to offer an exceptional dining experience.

We were really excited to try out this restaurant. We are vegan and had asked for a vegan menu. Honestly I have had many better vegan / vegetarian meals than we had here. So although the setting is beautiful the food was disappointing. It lacked imagination and flavour.
